This first illustration was done so that it would blend in with the background of the overall comic, obscuring the borders for this particular panel. I really liked these "breakout" panels, so this was my attempt at creating one.
I contemplated the distance I wanted my characters to be away from the viewer in this image. Ultimately I decided to have them semi-close up because I figured that it would give the sense that they were walking away from the convenience store, rather than just standing in front of it.
This panel is another where there will be a break from the normal panel structure. I plan on having the missing flyer breaking out of the panel in the final comic.
I will post my final comic on Monday, which is when it is due. I think it is coming together really nicely and am excited about the final piece.
